Start a Relationship with Jesus

We believe true leadership and lasting influence begin with the most important relationship you can have — a relationship with Jesus Christ. If you’re ready to begin that journey, here are the steps to start a life-changing relationship with Him:

1. Recognize Your Need for Jesus

Acknowledging that you are a sinner and are in need of God’s grace. The Bible says, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). Recognizing this truth opens the door to understanding why you need Jesus as your Savior.

2. Believe in Jesus 

Jesus is the Son of God, who came to earth, lived a perfect life, and died on the cross for our sins. He rose again, conquering death so that we might have eternal life. "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Do you believe this truth?

3. Confess and Repent

To confess means to admit your sins to God, and repentance means turning away from those sins. The Bible says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Take a moment and confess your sin.

4. Accept Jesus as Your Lord and Savior

Choosing to accept Jesus is a personal decision. You can do this through a simple prayer, expressing your desire to follow Him. Here is an example of a prayer you can say:

"Jesus, I recognize that I need You. I believe that You died for my sins and rose again. Please forgive me for my sins. I accept You as my Lord and Savior. Lead me and help me follow You all the days of my life. Amen."

5. Grow in Your Faith

Congratulations on accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior! Now its time to grow in the faith. You do this by becoming a disciple of Christ. Start by getting connected to a local church.
